Hiya, it’s me!
It started with man, wife and a dog.
Our story is a very simple one...we met, fell in love with each other and rescued a dog named Alfred. Alfred was a rescue dog who was abandoned and given six months to live however he came to live with us and brought joy to our lives for three fantastic years before he sadly left us. I became obsessed with taking photos of him and that is basically how I got in to photography! As most wedding photographers begin, a pal asked me to take some pictures at their wedding and I did and instantly fell in love with it. From there it snow balled and before I knew it I was knee deep in editing and shooting 30 weddings a year all over Europe!
Since I started the business I’ve had three children - wtf. I am one of those people who at age 30 wasn’t convinced I even wanted children, then when the first one - Rupert came along I was like, hmmmm I think I like this Mum life! So along came Raffi and then our third little boy Louie in 2022. It’s bloody mental but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
So, what am I doing when I'm not gatecrashing weddings?! Well, I love to travel, I visited Thailand for the first time 27 years ago when I was 13 and it changed my life (dramatic I know) but ever since I’ve had the travel bug. Until I became a wedding photographer I worked for ten years in the travel industry, and I have to say there are times when I really miss it, but luckily my old pals still keep me involved by getting me to write copy for their brochures and marketing material. I’ve also visited Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Australia, Mauritius, Cambodia, Dubai and lots of Europe, so I can often be found giving my wedding clients honeymoon advice.
I got married in Italy and to this day it still continues to be one of my favourite places along with Thailand and Ibiza. Next on my wish list (although now with children): Vietnam, Kerala and India in general, Canada, Bali and I would love to take my little ones to Australia and New Zealand.
I’m a big fan of life’s beautiful simplicity, we have a VW Transporter and I love to drive the boys up high after school and watch the sun set with them or going for walks with friends and enjoying some great food afterwards. I have just re-kindled my love affair with yoga after a few years off and now I feel like I couldn’t live without it again, I bloody love Harry Potter, more than a 40 year old woman probably should and it should be said I am a big fan of animals. Unfortunately we have gone from a dog and two cats just down to one cat, but we are currently on the look out for a suitable rescue pup.
I'm based in Clitheroe, but I’ve photographed weddings in Italy, Istanbul, the Lake District, all over Lancashire, Cheshire and Yorkshire! So no matter where you are getting married get in touch!
