Harriet and Tim's Lancashire Teepee Wedding, Scorton
Wyresdale Park Wedding Photographer, Sorton, Lancashire
You know it’s going to be a good wedding when the Bride emails you three weeks before the big day and says "...we’re not getting married in church any more we’ve moved the ceremony to an old, unused barn…” Love. It. Giant bears, crashing a yoga rave, world champion dj’s, not even the weather (which was horrific) could stop this from being a good one!
Harriet and Tim only got engaged back in March and planned their wedding for August, the lead time may have been short but that didn’t stop the wedding from being absolutely out of this world! And if it showed me one thing, it’s that your wedding is exactly that; YOURS. So do it your way. Even Harriet’s dress was designed by her, unique down to the detail.
Harriet got ready at Thurnham Hall, then the ceremony was held in an old barn/ warehouse on Wyresdale Country Estate, decorated with beautiful white hydrangeas and lanterns provided by Febland Event Hire. Guests sat on hay bales and when I walked in I was just hit with such an incredible atmosphere as we waited for Harriet to arrive.
Revd Anton Muller MA from St Peter’s Church in Scorton, Lancashire married Harriet and Tim and it was the first time he had ever performed a religious ceremony outside of the church and it was just beautiful. Whilst you can’t legally marry outside of the church, the service can be performed anywhere as long as the Vicar will do it for you. After the ceremony the guests enjoyed a BBQ by Rowleys Catering followed by an evening of partying in a Tipi provided by Big Chief Tipis.
