Fig House at Middleton Lodge Rustic Wedding
Beth and Jamie’s Wedding at the Fig House, Middleton Lodge
On a gorgeous August day Jamie and beautiful Beth got married. From the moment that we pulled up at Skeeby Lodge Bed and Breakfast where the bridal party were getting ready I knew that this was going to be a stunning wedding day and it didn’t disappoint. With rustic influences, the Fig House is one of the most stunning venues I have photographed, set in a wonderful kitchen garden - all totally up my street.
Whilst the girls got ready at Skeeby Lodge and Matt from Worthington Films was with me, my second photographer Laura was at The Black Horse Inn in Northallerton with the guys as they got ready. It was a great morning - Skeeby Lodge was a fantastic setting for getting ready as there was plenty of room and nice big gardens.
The wedding ceremony took place at the picturesque Church of Saint Michaels and All Angels Middleton Tyas, before moving on to the wedding reception at The Fig House, Middleton Lodge Estate. The estate itself is really impressive and this part of the venue is located in the kitchen garden which was full of bright flowers, herbs and lots and lots of butterflies.
The inside of the venue is full of rustic touches such as exposed red brick and stylish trestle tables and natural light floods in through the large windows.
Whilst I whisked the couple of for some portraits and their group shots the guests were entertained by pianist and singer Shane Durrant who Jamie and Beth had seen at a bar in Leeds a few times - he was MEGA! Would highly recommend for those looking for some entertainment throughout the day but want something a bit different.
After the speeches and wedding breakfast it was on to dancing and sparklers - a great end to the perfect day. Here are a few of my favourites from the wedding day… a full list of suppliers is available at the bottom of the post.
If you are having a wedding at the Fig House at Middleton Lodge Estate do get in touch I would love to hear from you!
