Awesome Holmes Mill Wedding

Wedding at the Spinning Block, Holmes Mill, Clitheroe

Lou and Jim chose the super cool Holmes Mill for their wedding day. I photograph at Holmes Mill quite a lot these days, it’s at the end of my street so I can walk there and because I spend quite a lot of my own time there I know it quite well. What I love about it is that it never gets boring. There are so many places for pics and even if the weather is a little sketchy it doesn’t matter as there’s so many good looking spots inside the mill. They planned their wedding in about five months and didn’t they do well! It just goes to show you don’t necessarily need to spend years planning - they got a last minute cancellation at the mill and the rest was history!

Lou and Jim were one of the first couples to have their ceremony in the Cotton Room upstairs and then their reception in the Spinning Block, I was unsure at first just because I’m used to everything being in the Cotton Room, but let me tell you its a winning combo. I love the Cotton Room, but actually the Spinning Block brought a really elegant touch to the afternoon, so if you prefer an elegant look over the rustic aesthetic this might be the one for you!

It was a really relaxed wedding with just a lovely undertone of warmth and togetherness as you can see from the pictures!

Here’s a little quote from Lou and Jim:

Oh wow!!! These are absolutely amazing!

You are incredible and we just want to say a massive thank you for not only these really cool photos that we'll treasure for life but for how lovely you are and how special you made us feel on the day. We really just hoped for the best with all of the suppliers as we didn't have time to do mounds of research but I'm so happy I found that engine room photo and was lucky enough for you to be available 😁.

Thank you again,

Lou & Jim xxx

Enjoy the pics!
