Wedding at The Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester

I met Sarah and Will at Sarah’s sisters wedding a few years back at Dorold Hall so when Sarah got in touch about photographing her wedding I was really excited. Then when she ran through the plans with me I absolutely couldn’t wait. Sarah and her bridesmaids got ready at King St Town House, my favourite Manchester hotel, whilst Will and his groomsmen finished off getting ready at one of Manchester’s finest drinking establishments the Town Hall Tavern.

From memory it was one of the hottest days of the year, and I just remember the room at King St Townhouse being filled with beautiful light. Once everyone was ready we headed over to The Whitworth Gallery on the outskirts of town. Wow, what a gorgeous building. On one side you have the gorgeous striking, red, original building built in 1889 and on the other you have a beautiful, modern glass facade that stretches out across the park and in the Summer beautifully reflects the trees and greenery around it.

The ceremony itself took place in the gallery room surrounded by art and for the drinks reception we headed downstairs and outside to the gardens as the weather was so good. I LOVED this day, everything about it was magical, including working with a great team of wedding suppliers including:
